Amber

dry

Amber wine, also known as "orange wine", is a distinctive style of wine made from white grapes but fermented with the skins and seeds, similar to how red wine is produced. This skin-contact process gives the wine its characteristic deep amber color and complex aromatic profile. Amber wine is typically dry, with firm tannins, pronounced structure, and natural flavors such as dried fruit, nuts, honey, and citrus peel. It is often aged in qvevri (traditional Georgian clay vessels), adding depth and intensity to its character.
