An International Qvevri Wine Competition held on August 7 and 8, 2021 organized by Georgian Wine Association, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the National Wine Agency. This year 400 wine samples were submitted to the International Qvevri Wine Competition. Each wine was blind tasted by 12 Georgian expert wine judges.
Results from the Qvevri Wine Competition have been announced. Bolero Qvevri wines had a standout year, once again demonstrated consistently high quality by winning the six medals.
White Qvevri wines impressed the jury and gained Gold medals: Kisi 2020, Khikhvi 2020, Rkatsiteli 2018; Saperavi 2020 received Silver, two wines received Bronze medals: Aladasturi 2020, Mtsvane 2018.
